Let It Go… and Enjoy the Dog Show More

Today is a wonderfully freeing little holiday called Let It Go Day.

And honestly? Dog people may need it more than most.

So let me ask:

What would happen if you let go of the thing that steals your joy in the ring?

  • The anxiety that whispers, “Everyone is judging me.”
  • The nerves that make your stomach flip as you enter the ring.
  • The self-consciousness about whether you “look like you belong.”
  • The gossip.
  • The comparison game.
  • The replaying of every missed free-stack on the drive home.

What if, instead, you focused on:

✨ Presenting your dog beautifully
✨ Improving one small thing each weekend
✨ Enjoying the partnership with your dog
✨ Learning instead of spiraling

Because here’s the truth: Nobody has a perfect weekend. Even the winners have rough days. The exhibitors who stay in the game longest are often the ones who learn to let go of what they can’t control.

So this month, the best thing to release is the pressure to be perfect, and you’re the only one who can do that for yourself. Your dog already thinks you’re amazing.
