Do you ever feel burned out at the end of your day? Do you know why you feel burned out?
It’s probably not what you think.
The mundane, day-to-day grind of a job you once were so excited about might be making you feel like you’re in the wrong job or the wrong career. Before you make a big decision, refocus. Take your focus away from the day-to-day grind of what you do.
- Focus on why you do it.
- Focus on what attracted you to it in the first place.
- Focus on the parts of what you do each day that you love.
If you can ease your feelings of burn-out by doing this, great – take it a little farther. Focus on what makes you the perfect person to do what you do. Focus on your talents, your strengths, and your gifts.
While this is all fresh in your mind, write it down, take a picture of it and favorite it in your phone. Maybe even make it your wallpaper. Look at it at the beginning of each work day and you’ll nip that burned-out feeling in the bud.
