Do you know anyone who is always waiting for things to be a certain way before…whatever?
They can’t sign up for a dating app until they’ve lost 20 pounds, and they can’t ask for a raise until they’ve worked there for two years, and they can’t get a new car until they drive this one for at least four more years, even though they hate that car with a passion!!
Maybe you might be just a little bit like that too? It’s OK – most of us are. Until I got engaged, I never wore a ring on my left hand. What’s up with that?? Divorced me has two on that hand now, and sometimes there are even more.
Ideas we picked up in childhood can be very sticky. We don’t even know why we behave or believe a certain way, we just do and that drives our feelings and our actions.
Today, think about what it is you’re waiting for. What do you believe you must do or must not do that holds you back? Pick one thing to focus on, and make a plan to change it, starting today.
