Need to Learn to Stop Time? - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites Podcast

Do you often feel pressed for time? Like there’s far too much to get done in one day by one person, and you’re constantly feeling a shortness of time?

This Tiny Bite to the rescue!

Albert Einstein is quoted as saying, “Time does not exist – we invented it. Time is what the clock says.”

Humans invented time based on the repetitive apparent movement of the sun, planets, and stars. The breaking of the day into 24 hours, and hours into 60 minutes, was done in the distant past, beginning with the Sumarians in 3500 BCE, refined by the Egyptians in 1500 BCE, and further refined by Greek astronomers in 150 to 125 BCE.

You don’t need to remember the dates or who invented what – just that humans invented time as a way to measure the day, not as a way to terrorize themselves for not achieving things within a certain timeframe. When you’re feeling pressed for time, remember – time is not an absolute, it’s a concept. Most concepts are flexible by nature.

Let your time flex to meet your needs instead of you stressing out.
