Soap, Water, and Your Emotional Wellbeing - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites

Do you ever come home from work feeling exhausted, both mentally and physically? Maybe the day had more challenges than normal, maybe your co-workers were more challenging than normal, or maybe you just got up on the wrong side of the bed.

No matter why the day was challenging, no matter what you dealt with, don’t take it to bed with you. Before you do anything else, hit the shower.

Shed your work clothes, prepare some comfy clothes for the rest of the evening, and step into your attitude-adjusting chamber.

  • As the water flows over you, think of it rinsing off the stress of the day.
  • As you soap up, think of the soap as getting the sticky, prickly feelings from the day off your skin and flowing into the drain.
  • As you feel the water on your skin, focus on the fresh, calm, renewed spirit you’ll have as you step out of the shower and back into control of your life.

Ahhhhhh…showers can be such blessings, can’t they?
