The Path to Self-Confidence - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites
Do you ever wish you were taller or prettier or whateverer? Welcome to the human race!
I always wanted to be tall – 5’8” was my goal. Nowhere in my family tree did tall women appear, and yet I was sure I could be taller than the 5’4” I topped out at. For years, I felt inadequate and like a failure over not reaching my goal height.
How idiotic is that?
Wishful thinking can take an unhealthy turn when we focus on the failure to achieve the wish and feel somehow “less-than.”
We are always becoming more, we’re always changing and growing intellectually and emotionally, if not in actual height. Embrace the positive changes you can make in your life and joyfully set about making them, and ignore the changes you wish you could make and are powerless over.
When you can master that, you have found the path to more self-confidence, happiness, and success.
