The feeling of being exhausted is real, and it can be very easy to just crawl under the covers and hide from the world.
If you ever feel like that, remember this one tool that can help you feel better in just a few minutes: go outside.
If you’re a runner, skip the treadmill at the gym and go for a run outside. If walking is more your speed, pick a park and go walk in it. If you can barely muster up the energy to go to the front door, go there, step outside and sit under the sky for 10 minutes.
Your mood will improve, whether you are very active outdoors or are completely sedentary – the mood-altering affect of being outside works no matter what you’re doing. Plus, research has shown that there’s a positive affect on the size and quality of your frontal cortex when you spend time outside.
