Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites - Why You Aren't an Impostor and Are Worthy

Do you sometimes – or maybe often – feel unworthy or like an imposter in your own life?

There are a lot of reasons feelings like that could crop up inside you – maybe you were raised by someone with expectations so high you never felt their approval, maybe you had a difficult time in school so your grades were lower than your friends’ grades, and maybe you’re shy and don’t want people to notice you, and yet you yearn for recognition and acceptance.

No matter what the source of those unworthy feelings, they don’t feel good, and they sabotage your confidence, your success, and your feeling of belonging in this world.

No one else can think inside your head – you are the only person who can, so when you find yourself thinking that you’re an imposter or a klutz or whatever negative name you’re giving yourself, it’s up to you to stop the abuse. No one else has your combination of experiences, education, ethics and emotions, so no one else can affect your life and the people in it the way you do.

You are a gift to the world. When you find yourself beating yourself up inside your head, remind yourself that you are a gift to the world. Because you are!
