Are you familiar with the Big Bang Theory? No, not the old sitcom though that’s pretty good too…the theory that the universe began as a small, dense, hot piece of matter that exploded, setting into motion what is measurable today – the expansion continues as galaxies move away from each other and from our earth.
That expansion is change, and everything is always changing, not just the stars in relation to each other. Change is the one constant in our lives and is the thing that we humans want to try to control. Some change in your life you can control if it’s within your power, and some you can’t because it’s not.
The key to mental wellbeing is to know the difference and to only try to control what’s within your power to control. You won’t stop change – you can shape the inevitable change in yourself and your life.
