Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites - Trusting What Your Body Says

Do you notice when something feels wrong? Do you feel the little hairs on the back of your neck bristle? Do you get that “iceberg in the pit of the stomach” feeling that’s apprehensive to the point of being fearful? What do you do when you notice your body reacting like that?

Please get into the habit of paying close attention.

Your body can sense things in ways that science is only just now beginning to discover. The incredible neural network in your intestinal tract talks to your brain about more than just hunger and digestion. The largest organ in your body, your skin, is in contact with the world outside your body and is able to perceive tiny changes in sound, air movement and other important clues that something might be amiss. So when something feels wrong to you, get into the habit of paying attention to the feelings and to the world around you.

Your body really is trying to tell you something.
