Are you feeling fear? Doubt? Like maybe you’re not up to the challenge? Welcome to the club.
It’s normal to feel anxious about things now and then, especially when it’s something you don’t do all the time. Use a neuroplasticity tool to calm your fears and doubts and feelings of not-enoughness. When there’s something you’re facing that’s causing the anxiety, look for ways to boost your confidence about it.
Maybe you’ve done something similar in the past – if so, remind yourself that you succeeded, learned and grew from that accomplishment, just as you will from this one.
Maybe you’ve never done anything like it, and have always wanted to, but now that it’s about to be a reality for you, the doubts are creeping in. Remind yourself that it’s something you’ve wanted to do and you’ll have a great story to tell once you’ve done it.
Maybe it’s something you’ve never wanted to do and don’t want to do now. If possible, opt out. There is no shame in not doing something you don’t want to do. If it’s not for you, be honest and be proud of yourself for standing up for yourself bravely.
