You’re not angry because someone cut you off in traffic, you’re angry because you took the action personally.
You’re not hurt because someone didn’t call you when they said they would, you’re hurt because you set an expectation that you couldn’t control.
And you’re not filled with love because the person you’re looking at is perfect, you’re filled with love because you’re choosing to focus on what’s perfect about them.
You are in charge of your feelings and that’s a very powerful understanding, once you get it and put it into practice.
